Angélica Fuentes Téllez is recognized as one of Latin America’s most influential women, due to her successful career as a business leader and her commitment to empowering Latin American women. Fuentes is the CEO and shareholder of Grupo Omnilife Angelissima Chivas. Prior to that, she was chief executive officer of Mexican energy firm Grupo Imperial Corporativo, and she served as CEO of both the Mexican Natural Gas Association and the Business Energy Network of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Agreement (APEC).
Fuentes is engaged in the work of various philanthropic organizations, including the UN Foundation, where she and Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan serve as global advocates, and Aid for Aids International and the American Business Council, where she is an active member. For more than 25 years, Fuentes has been involved in the development of Latin American women, with contributions that include co-chairing the World Economic Forum’s Mexico Gender Parity Taskforce, launching the beauty line Angelíssima, and advancing her philosophy of female empowerment, which she sums up with a personal slogan: "Work within yourself, exceed your limits, elevate your goals, and surpass yourself.” In 2011, APEC honored Fuentes Téllez for her innovative work and outstanding leadership in the women’s space.
