Jane Garvey

In 2008, Jane Garvey served on the Transition Team for President Barack Obama with a focus on transportation policies. From 1997 to 2002, she was the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after earlier positions as Deputy Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Director of Boston’s Logan International Airport and Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Works. Garvey has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the National Council of Public-Private Partnerships Leadership Award, the National Award of Excellence for Public Leaders, and the Woman of the Year Award from Women in Transportation and Women in Politics. She is currently Chairman of the Board of the Bipartisan Policy Project in Washington, D.C. and also serves on several corporate boards and commissions, including United Airlines.
