Where We Work

The Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative works on the ground with 28 countries to expand access to treatment, strengthen management capacity, and improve procurement and laboratory systems. We also train health care workers and particularly seek to expand care to marginalized populations, such as children and people living in rural areas.

Additionally 73 Procurement Consortium Member Countries have access to medicines and diagnostics at reduced CHAI Prices. You can visit this map to see the countries where we work.

The numbers alone will never be able to express the full impact of AIDS on the political, economic and social structures of nations devastated by this disease. In some countries teachers, doctors and health care workers are dying faster than new ones can be trained, putting at risk the health and education of millions.

Farmers and factory laborers are dying, significantly reducing the productivity and growth of many countries. Police and military personnel are dying, jeopardizing public order and the safety of citizens. But of far greater consequence, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters are dying, destroying families - the social fabric of life and civilization itself. Our humanity compels us to care and our interdependence demands that we act.
