CGI Commitments - Economic Empowerment Team

The Economic Empowerment Team Intern will be required to have an academic background and/or professional experience in the field and an overall understanding of economic empowerment and international development within the public and private sectors. Responsibilities include supporting the Economic Empowerment Team in developing Action Networks around identified areas of focus, including proactively networking individuals with a shared interest in a given topic. He or she will also aid in tracking new and ongoing commitments, take part in meetings with CGI members, assist in up-keep of database accuracy, follow-up with members about their commitments as needed, and draft and edit language for official commitment text.

Due to the high-profile nature of CGI members, candidates should be professional and adaptable and should have exceptional writing skills. They should be very organized, able to pay attention to detail, handle multiple tasks at once, and meet strict deadlines. The ideal candidate should also be adept in Microsoft Suite and comfortable learning how to use the Raiser’s Edge database.
