Application Process

You cannot currently resume a partially completed application form, so please make sure you have the following components ready in plain text format before you continue:

  • A copy of your current resume

  • Identify your top 5 main areas of interest (see Internships Available) i.e 1) Education (Strategy)  2) In-House Operations (Logistics) etc

  • Short Essay: 250-500 words stating your interest in the work of President Clinton, and how the internship relates to your objectives, expectations and your future goals.If you are particularly interested in one or two departments listed, you can mention that in your short essay.

  • Short Biography:  approximately 100-200 words

  • Writing sample: a short example of your writing ability

  • If you are applying for a stipend, then prepare a statement of need (500 words) that includes the reasons we should consider you for a need-based stipend.

  • Two letters of recommendation.  If you are a student, one letter should be from a professor.  Letters should be faxed, scanned (internship@clintonfoundation.org), or mailed directly to the city where you are applying (New York or Little Rock).

Internship Terms and Application Deadlines

  • Summer semester (start of June through end of August) applications and letters of recommendation must be received by February 28th.

  • Fall semester (start of September through mid-December) applications and letters of recommendation must be received by June 15th.

  • Spring semester (late January through the end of May) applications and letters or recommendation must be received by November 15th.
