Presidential Pets (Pre-K – Second Grades)
Students will learn about the beloved pets that have lived in the White House. Students will be introduced to presidential pets with a storytelling session of Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids’ Letters to the First Pets, a book written by Hillary Rodham Clinton. 

Letters to Buddy and Socks (Third – Fifth Grades)
This activity inspires children to share their ideas and wishes through writing letters to the first pets. In this writing activity and the classroom reading of Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids’ Letters to the First Pets by Hillary Rodham Clinton, students will learn how letters to Socks and Buddy were received, sorted, and answered. Most importantly, they will experience the art of written communication.

The Home Energy Affordability Loan (HEAL), a project of the Clinton Foundation’s Clinton Climate Initiative- Arkansas (CCI-AR), is a unique, energy-based employee benefits program designed to improve quality of life, at both the corporate and homeowner levels, by reducing GHG emissions and improving energy performance in commercial and residential buildings. By enlisting employers to offer the HEAL program to qualifying employees and community members, the program is able to make a large-scale and rapid impact in energy usage, GHG emissions and employment opportunities.
