MEDIA ADVISORY: President Dilma Rousseff to Join President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton at Clinton Global Initiative Latin America Meeting

President Bill Clinton will host international leaders, including President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil, from the business, government, philanthropy, and nonprofit sectors at the Clinton Global Initiative Latin America (CGI Latin America) meeting December 8-10 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The agenda in Latin America will emphasize efforts to carry the region’s social and economic progress into the future with sessions focusing on Developing Human Capacity, Designing for Green Growth and Harnessing Technology and Innovation. Participants will work towards developing and scaling up “Commitments to Action,” programs designed to address issues such as revitalizing Latin American cities, creating more opportunities for women entrepreneurs, and promoting early childhood education.

Press registration is now open to the members of the media. To apply, please complete the form at http://cgilink.org/1aI9Hab.  All media must apply for credentials and must be approved by CGI to attend. The deadline to apply is Saturday, December 7 at 5 PM BRST. A complete schedule of activities open to the press is below.

Journalists may apply for credentials on-site, but pre-registered media will be given priority. If applying on-site, you MUST bring a press ID as well. Members of the press who have received email confirmation from CGI to attend the meeting are encouraged to pick up their credentials at the press registration desk on Monday, December 9 between 7 AM and 5 PM BRST.
