Today, in the closing session of CGI America 2014 in Denver, President Clinton announced that participants in the meeting had made 100 new Commitments to Action. When fully funded and implemented, these commitments will:
- create or fill more than 40,000 jobs
- provide nearly $3.6 million in new capital for green initiatives
- mobilize more than $215 million of new capital to be invested in or loaned to small- and medium-sized enterprises
These join the more than 300 commitments made in previous years, which have already affected the lives of nearly 1.4 million people.
CGI commitments are new, specific, and measurable plans to address a significant challenge—in the case of CGI America, economic recovery and growth in the United States. Commitments range broadly in scale, value, approach, and in the types of partnerships they employ. To capture that scope, below is an infographic of five ways CGI America commitments are turning ideas into action.
