Susan Neely is president and CEO of the American Beverage Association, the leading public policy and advocacy arm of the non-alcoholic beverage industry.
Neely has worked to further industry’s longstanding commitment to being part of the solution to childhood obesity. Under her leadership, ABA members voluntarily reduced beverage calories in schools by 90 percent working with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. In support of the First Lady's "Let's Move!" Campaign, industry placed clear calorie labels on the front of all their packaging. Recently, ABA joined with the First Lady and the Partnership for a Healthier America to support Drink Up.
Neely chairs the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, and is chair of the American Society of Association Executives. She is AssociationTrends 2014 Association Executive of the Year and Seton Hall University's Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations 2011 Global Citizen of the Year.
