Valerie Alexander

Valerie Alexander is the former Chief Marketing Officer of the Clinton Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was an Executive Vice President at Edelman Public Relations for three years, where she built Marketing communication campaigns for Fortune 100 companies. She took a leave of absence from Edelman to serve as a spokesperson and Senior Communications Advisor for Secretary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2008. Early in her career she worked for Senator Durbin (D-IL), ultimately as his chief of staff. After leaving the senator’s office, she joined a lobbying firm– representing clients on Capitol Hill - focusing on renewable energy legislative issues. Valerie is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.A. in Communications. She lives in Chicago with her husband and two children.
