Commitment to Action

3 Pillars to Women's Economic Sustainability

Commitment by

National Council for Research on Women

The National Council on Research on Women (NCRW) commits to producing a report revealing low-income women's economic status and their experiences with access to child care, job training, and educational opportunities along race, class, and gender lines in seven U.S. states. The report will also generate solutions based on quantitative and qualitative research to develop strategies that will improve the ability of low-income women and their families to gain economic self-sufficiency. Over a 24-month period, NCRW will identify best practices, build broad understanding of service barriers, and develop a bipartisan, broad-based coalition for policy and programmatic change.
