In 2014, The American Beverage Association (ABA) and its member companies, including The Coca-Cola Company, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, and PepsiCo (Beverage Companies) and in partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation committed to reduce per person calories consumed from beverages nationally by 20% by 2025. The Beverage Companies will leverage their marketing, innovation and distribution strength to increase and sustain consumer interest in and access to beverage options that help them reduce their calories, including smaller portion sizes, water, and other no or lower calorie beverages, as well as engage in consumer education and outreach efforts.
