Commitment to Action

Cessation of Bottled Water Sales at Queen's University

Commitment by

Queen's University

In 2010, Queen's University committed to becoming water bottle free. As the first university in Ontario to become a signatory of the University and College Presidents' Climate Change Statement of Action for Canada, Queen's University will develop an action plan to limit and eventually stop the sale of bottled water on its campus. This initiative has strong support and encouragement from many sectors of the university community, notably student leaders who are engaged in efforts to make the campus more sustainable.
