Child and Youth Focused Transition and Return

In 2007 the International Rescue Committee (IRC) committed to partnering with Children's Investment Fund Foundation to facilitate and support the safe return of Ugandan children and young people from camps for internally displaced people. This project supports the return of children to either transit centres or their villages of origin, with services including child protection, education, youth and livelihoods programming, economic development, and child health.
To date, Children's Investment Fund Foundation has provided $500,000 of support to the IRC to being planning, implementation, and immediate response activities in the Kitgum District of Uganda
