Developing Nation Feedstock Investment for Renewable Fuels
ARC committed in 2006 to pursue investment in low-cost feedstock alternatives that support renewable fuels, helping to increase economic opportunity within the agricultural sectors of developing nations.
In 2007, ARC announced plans to lease 60,000 hectares from the government of Peru to use environmentally degraded land to grow African palm trees to produce palm oil, which can be used to make environmentally safe biodiesel.
