Digital Equalizer Program and Primary School Implementation
In 2005, the Chatwal Family Trust committed to use the 'Digital Equalizer' model to advocate for the importance of technology in education and institutionalize the program within the Indian Government school system, in Faridkot, Punjab state. This method will enrich and improve the quality of education by enabling teachers to integrate the use of technology in pedagogy; encouraging active participation of the school administration and community, empowering them to take ownership of the program.
To date, the digital Equalizer program has been implemented in 7 government schools in Faridkot, Punjab. This was a robust step taken in filling up the technological gap between rich and poor children. It has also simplified management of the routine administrative work.
