McKinsey & Company will take a fresh, practical, and wide-ranging look at public-private-social partnerships and develop a blueprint for business, government, and social sector leaders who seek to develop truly innovative cross-sector partnerships. This report will answer three essential questions:
1) What are the most exciting innovations in creating cross-sector partnerships?
2) What implications do these innovations have for public, private, and social sector leaders who seek to magnify their impact in their respective fields?
3) What must leaders do to ensure the success of these innovative partnerships and bring them to scale?
McKinsey & Company will facilitate collaboration by leaders across the sectors in developing innovative partnerships, identify pressure points for accelerating innovation, and communicate its findings broadly. Drawing upon relevant analogies from other alliances and market transformation, McKinsey & Company's report will include a synthesis that addresses these questions broadly across industries and functions, as well as a few, targeted case studies in selected CGI tracks (e.g., poverty alleviation) that bring the issues to life in real situations.
Measures of success for this commitment will include improved effectiveness of public-private-social partnerships (e.g., in the number of people with increased access to essential services, or sustainable incomes).
