Commitment to Action

Empowering Brazilians with Basic Financial Services

Commitment by

The Brink's Company

In 2014, The Brink's Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary ePago, committed to bringing basic financial services, such as bill payments and mobile-phone top ups, to retail stores in three underserved and underdeveloped regions of Brazil where GDP per capita is below the national average: Midwest, North, and Northeast. These services will enable residents in these communities to conduct transactions close to home without risking their safety, enduring long lines, or traveling far distances, which is often the case for millions who face barriers to accessing bank accounts.
