Healthy Moms and Babies: Ending Preventable Deaths in Togo

Commitment by

Hope Through Health

In 2015, Hope Through Health (HTH) committed to significantly expand its services from HIV/AIDS treatment to include a maternal, newborn and child health program designed to increase access to, and timeliness and quality of healthcare services for pregnant women and children under five in northern Togo. The new project is a significant departure from HTH’s previous services and will implement an integrated clinic and community-based approach to health systems strengthening in four public sector clinics in the Kozah District. HTH will work in partnership with community-based organization, Association Espoir pour Demain, and the Togolese Ministry of Health to train, equip and support Community Health Workers, nurses, and midwives. The project will receive technical assistance from Muso, Last Mile Health, and Partners in Health, and financial assistance from Direct Relief International and Segal Family Foundation.
