APPROACH AND METHODOLOGY
Al Sale is planning to build a prototype high rise building which will incorporate state of art features of environmental consciousness. This building will be the head offices for all companies who share Al Sale's vision and mission to build a new market for environmentally sustainable business in the Gulf region. Al Sale will be a partner with all participating companies who share our vision of environmental consciousness and are interested to work in the Gulf area, and will facilitate and pave the way for a smooth start. With Al Sale Company's 30-years experience and established government contracts, emerging new companies will have the resources and expertise at their finger tips to ensure they can start successfully in the region. A primary motive for today's Middle East businesses to support sustainable development in the region is the realization of the need to diversify their economy to become less dependent on oil revenue. World class high rise buildings such as Burj Dubai, Burj Arab, Emirates Tower, Kingdom Tower, Al Faisaliya Tower etc have already improved the tourism industry in the Middle East.
IMPLEMENTATION, TIMELINE, AND DELIVERABLES
September 2010 and ongoing:
Continue planning for construction of high rise building located in the Middle East (siting still in process).
In consultation with Ernst &Young, begin identifying credible business partners for the commitment, with a goal to establish and launch several sustainable businesses each year at the new building site.
Provide business support, through consultation by expert staff of Al Sale Eastern Company, to each partner company to assist them with developing their business into the Middle East market.
Al Sale Eastern's commitment seeks to address the need to spread a culture of environmental awareness to business throughout the Middle East by being a role model to others in implementing sustainable and ecologically friendly solutions such as recycling, thereby demonstrating how cost-efficient and reliable such solutions are when practiced properly. Though there are several options for going beyond the petroleum era, from bio fuels, solar energy and next generation nuclear energy, every substitute has its pluses and its minuses, just as oil, coal and natural gas do. The transition to the next energy era will be more complex but firm determination, supported by resources and expertise, will create new environmentally conscious opportunities.
