The Chatwal Family Trust

The Chatwal Family Trust Foundation Inc. commits to building a school, which will serve 1,650 children, for the Nanaksar Trust by 2012. In addition, the Foundation will provide funding, strategic guidance, and access to new potential funders for the Nanaksar Trust. The goal of the Trust is to provide free education, food, clothing, and medical care daily to underprivileged children, beginning with those who live in the slums of New Delhi, Ludhiana & Nanded, India. Funded solely on donation, the first school opened two years ago and has been able to provide services, such as literacy training in English & Punjabi, to 350 children; therefore, the construction of the new school will meet the needs of 2,000 total students. The ultimate goal of the Trust is to create awareness and garner much needed support to fund projects, both existing and still needed throughout the world in areas of extreme poverty.
