Peter KK Lee Care for Life Foundation Commitment
In 2008, the Peter KK Lee Care for Life Foundation committed to preventing suicides by helping emotionally troubled earthquake survivors of the Sichuan Providence feel the support of their community and renew a brand-new life. The Foundation created the Peter K K Lee Care for Life Psychological Consulting Hotline Center in Chengdu, China. In addition, CLF committed to support the Tsinghua University School of Humanities and Social Sciences to run a series of mental health and psychological consulting programs and respond to subsequent suicidal incidents among university students.
Since November, 2008 the Psychological Consulting Hotline Centre at Chengdu and the 'Care and Support Outreaching Team' have reached over a thousand people either by phone or personal visit to help people release their stress, enhance their capacity to face psychological crisis, and to generate hope and energy for a better future.
