P&G's Commitment to Eliminating Maternal & Neo Natal Tetanus

Commitment by

Procter & Gamble

Since 2006, Pampers has made substantial contribution in providing funds for vaccine procurement and also in raising awareness on MNT as a silent killer. For every marked pack purchased, Pampers commits to continue to donate US$ 0.07 (€0.053) to support UNICEF in the fight against MNT.
Pampers has successfully reached its commitment of donating 200 million vaccines, helping protect over 45.5 million women and their babies from MNT. To date, the Pampers-UNICEF campaign has reached 21 countries across 3 continents. Of these countries, 14 have now reached completion of their MNT vaccination programs. Since UNICEF and WHO re-launched the MNT elimination initiative, considerable progress has already been made. 16 of the original 58 MNT countries have been validated as having eliminated MNT; and more than 10 others are waiting for validation within the next 12 months.
