Climate Culture will also spend internal company resources organizing the contest by meeting with student leaders and sustainability coordinators, contributing to a robust online discussion around carbon footprint reductions and providing incentives to schools that reach certain milestones.
SmartPower will provide marketing, messaging, and public relations support for the contest. They will conduct focus group discussions aimed at determing the most effective messages that encourage the student demographic to use less energy and lower its carbon footprint. SmartPower will also engage its public relations firm to promote the contest and will provide on-campus marketing support.

February: All campus sponsor applications received, network administrator accounts assigned to campus sponsors, kick-off marketing and PR efforts on behalf of contest.
March: Campus goals set at 250 sign-ups per college to americasgreenestcampus.com - campuses that reach this goal will receive towards a climate awareness party
April: Campuses that sign up over 1,000 students at their college receive for additional climate awareness party
April 22 (Earth Day): ,000 cash prize awarded to campus sponsor of school that signed up the most students and an additional ,000 cash prize awarded to the campus sponsor of the school that reduced the most carbon per contest participant. Video contest finalists will also be announced.
May 1: ,000 cash prize awarded to the video contest winner.
