Safer Roads in Myanmar: Designing an Effective Road Safety Strategy

In 2016, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and their partners committed to sending a team of renowned road safety experts to Myanmar to work with the local authorities to critically analyze the road safety situation and propose new measures and interventions to reduce the above average road crash death toll. Over the next year through their Commitment to Action, the FIA will aim to reduce the road fatality rate by 50% and the road injury rate by 30% from the existing baseline, ultimately impacting the lives of more than 21,000 residents of Myanmar.
