Scaling up Distribution of Improved Biomass Stoves

In 2009, Prakti Design Lab committed to scale up dissemination of improved cooking stoves in India to 100,000 units, through increased availability and lowered cost. These stoves reduce fuel consumption by 50 percent to 80 percent and reduce indoor air pollution by 70 percent to 90 percent.
