In 2011, Bay Area Medical Academy committed to developing and implementing a new S.T.E.P into a JOB! model of healthcare workforce development that will prepare 150, low-skilled unemployed, workers with barriers to employment for jobs in healthcare. This commitment will utilize a proven model of service consisting of three key components: social support/case management, technical training and education and employer engagement.
