Yale University, Ceres and Marsh Inc. will engage and educate more than 200 Corporate Board Members on the business risks posed by Global Climate Change.
The partners will provide professional expertise to accomplish this project. In addition, Marsh will provide ,000 as the lead funder to meet Yale and Ceres financial needs in committing to this effort. The Betsy and Jesse Fink Foundation donated ,000 in seed funding to launch the Forum.
This collaboration will draw together leading institutions with complementary areas of expertise to strengthen the corporate community's understanding of the business and governance risks posed by climate change. Marsh Inc. (the world's leading risk and insurance services firm), Yale University, and Ceres (the world's largest coalition of investors, companies and environmental groups) will together create the Sustainable Governance Forum, a cutting-edge leadership development program for corporate directors. The first of its kind, the Forum will draw on the talent of its three distinguished member organizations and will educate over 200 board members of Fortune 1000 companies to give them greater insight into the practical financial, legal, business and investor perspectives on one of the most critical business risks of our time: Global Climate Change.
