Vittana/Africa: Bringing Student Loans to Africa

Commitment by

Vittana

In 2010, through its Vittana/Africa initiative, Vittana committed to develop, launch, and fund Africa's first higher education micro-loan programs in Africa in partnership with top African microcredit organizations. This will fill the 'last mile' gap of education and, for the first time, enable a wide swath of young Africans to pursue post-secondary education and gain real, employable skills in fields such as nursing, law enforcement, and IT. Through this commitment, Vittana will enable 10,000 young people to create profound economic and life changes and once and for all break the cycle of poverty in their families through post-secondary education.
