Women and Girls’ Equality
Unlocking the full potential of women and girls and striving for gender parity worldwide
Access to equal rights and opportunities for women and girls is essential for achieving global prosperity, stability, and security.
Unfortunately, decades of progress on these issues are now at risk. Today, women and girls face new and intensified threats to their fundamental human rights, and the critical gains that have been made for women’s health, safety, political participation, and economic prosperity are disappearing. We must take action.
The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) is working to reverse negative trends and accelerate progress on issues that affect women and girls including maternal health, reproductive rights, economic power, climate change, education, civic and social empowerment, and gender-based violence.
