Service Project

As part of the 2013 meeting, CGI U will host a morning of community service on Sunday, April 7 at Gateway STEM High School. This event is open to all CGI U students, youth organization representatives, and WUSTL/CGI U volunteers. The morning will kick off at 9:30 AM with a short program featuring President Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and Gateway STEM High School Principal, Dr. Beth Bender, who will speak about the importance of giving back. Students will work from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on a number of restorative projects and facility updates around the school, including: painting, carpeting, grounds maintenance, storage clean-out, garden construction and much more. In an effort to create a greener and healthier environment, each project will incorporate sustainable products and practices. At 1:00 PM, participants will regroup for lunch and board buses back to campus or the airport.

Buses will depart between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM. Bus pick-up locations for CGI U participants and Wash U volunteers:
