In 2024, Project 17, a Battery Tour initiative, committed to expand awareness of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (affordable and clean energy) through music and entertainment. Battery Tour will create a SDG7 anthem song with a celebrity artist, music video, and a global marketing campaign. A concert and documentary series will be instrumental in the messaging, aiming to reach a global audience of 7 million individuals. All profits from the concert – an estimated $350,000 – will be awarded to partner NGOs to fund clean energy projects. The documentary series will track progress and showcase impactful solutions. Approach
Project17, a Battery Tour initiative, is committed to powering Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy for All. This will be achieved over the next two years through a multifaceted campaign leveraging creativity and collaboration. The “ENERGY” anthem “Light Up The World” , a radio-ready song, will capture the essence of Goal 7. A clean-energy-powered concert featuring aligned artists will further amplify the message. Battery Tour will showcase impactful clean energy solutions and inspiring stories through a documentary series. Fostering collaboration and innovation is key, and will be supported through various thought leadership panels and networking events focused on sustainable energy. Transparency is vital, and will utilize ESG/impact reporting to track progress and measure outcomes of all initiatives.
To maximize impact, Project17 collaborates with a diverse network. Musicians and artists lend their talents, while proceeds from the song, concert tickets, and merchandise will directly support the clean energy projects of selected partnered NGOs. Media partners will expand the reach, raising awareness about Goal 7 and sustainable solutions. To further strengthen the network of partner BGOs, Battery Tour is actively seeking impact specialists to help identify and collaborate with high-impact NGOs. Project17 goes beyond entertainment. This comprehensive approach, fueled by creativity and collaboration, ensures the commitment translates to real-world impact, advancing clean energy initiatives for a sustainable future.
All profit from the digital sales of the “ENERGY” SDGs song, and a portion of the concert ticket sales, an estimated $350,000, will be donated to the designated implementation partners and NGOs working on Goal 7 projects.
Action Plan
Phase 1: Music (Q4 2024) Ignite awareness by creating a captivating G7 theme song with a kid-friendly version. Partnering with a major record label and PR firm to secure a celebrity artist, shoot a music video, and launch a global marketing campaign with influencers. Simultaneously recruiting 3 partner NGOs for project implementation.
Phase 2: Battery Tour (Q1 2025) To amplify the message, Battery Tour will collaborate with a concert promoter to book a major venue and talent agency to secure top-tier artists. Ticket sales and music revenue will directly fund on-the-ground projects.
Phase 3: Impact (Q1 2026) Working with NGO partners, success metrics will be defined and impactful projects identified. Documentary series and data analysis will track progress, while communication strategies highlight the positive impact achieved by Goal 7 efforts.
Beyond Commitment:
While the guidebook and roadmap fall outside the CGI commitment, insights and progress from this project will significantly contribute to achieving a sustainable music industry, laying the groundwork for future generations.

This partnership with CGI represents the culmination of 12 years of dedicated work leading up to this commitment. The primary focus is on securing additional financial resources to fully operationalize the global strategic launch of G7 by Q4 2024, ensuring the full vision is realized at capacity and further developing Project17. To achieve this commitment, additional financial partners who are committed to sustainability and innovation in the arts are needed. Funding will be utilized for G7 concert, distribution, docuseries, and further development of G7 operations
Battery Tour is also seeking support from CGI to increase our network as a whole, particularly in engaging with G7 organizations and implementation partners to donate to.
Additionally Media support is crucial. CGI’s network can play a pivotal role in amplifying our ongoing story and garnering the necessary press, marketing, and news coverage to reach a wider audience and achieve our objectives., Project17 offers partners a platform to amplify their sustainability efforts.
