Join us on February 24 as we celebrate Black History Month with a series of historically rooted performances by Parkview High School drama, choir, and orchestra students. Inspired by our current temporary exhibit “Women’s Voices, Women’s Votes, Women’s Rights”, this year’s performance will draw your students into the conversation of progress and the continuing fight for women’s rights.

Conversation with “Women’s Voices” Curator Allida Black

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR EDUCATORS

Guest curator Allida Black, Ph.D., will lead a special in-person teacher workshop for our exhibition, “Women’s Voices, Women’s Votes, Women’s Rights.” It explores the ongoing fight for equal rights around the world, beginning with the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. In addition to historic documents and objects, “Women’s Voices” features eighteen specially commissioned art quilts created by world-renowned fiber artists.
