CANCELED: The One and Only Ivan: A Conversation with Zoo Atlanta's Jodi Carrigan

6 p.m. | Clinton Presidential Center

Join us at the Clinton Center on March 30 for a FREE family-friendly program featuring Jodi Carrigan, Assistant Curator of Primates at Zoo Atlanta. This special event is held in partnership with the Little Rock School District's One District, One Book, One Community program, and is inspired by the book, The One and Only Ivan, by Katherine Applegate. Ms. Carrigan was Ivan the gorilla's keeper while he lived at Zoo Atlanta.

Ms. Carrigan's more than 15 years at Zoo Atlanta have been spent working with primates, with a keen interest in western lowland gorillas. Prior to joining Zoo Atlanta, she worked with primates at Zoo Miami and the Pittsburgh Zoo. She is a member of the Gorilla Species Survival Plan (SSP) Management Group and the Gorilla Behavior Advisory Group, and she has also worked to raise support for Zoo Atlanta’s longtime partner in gorilla conservation, The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International and has led trips to Africa to observe mountain gorillas.
