Press Release: President Clinton and Clinton Foundation Announce New Communications Director, Jay Carson

Jay Carson will be Communications Director for Former President William J. Clinton and the William J. Clinton Foundation, it was announced today.

In this capacity, Carson will be responsible for developing the communications strategy for President Clinton, overseeing media relations and serving as a senior advisor to the former President.

Carson comes to the Office of President Clinton with extensive campaign and communications experience. He served as the Press Secretary to Senator Tom Daschle in the Democratic Leader's office and has worked on a number of Senate and Presidential campaigns including most recently as the Press Secretary for former Governor and current DNC Chair Howard Dean's Presidential campaign.

"While we will miss Jim Kennedy, we're excited Jay has joined former President Clinton's staff," said Chief of Staff Laura Graham. "His experience and energy will make him a great part of our already strong team."
