Gala Dinner at the American Museum of Natural History and Rolling Stones Concert to Benefit the ongoing work of the Clinton Foundation.
President Bill Clinton and the work of his Foundation will be honored during a weekend long birthday celebration in New York City on October 28-29. The weekend's events will culminate in a concert with the Rolling Stones, which made a portion of the tickets available to the Clinton Foundation to support President Clinton’s work around the nation and the world.
“I am so touched that my friends, family, and the Rolling Stones, will be joining me to support the work of my Foundation,” said President Clinton. “It is going to be a great weekend and Hillary, Chelsea and I look forward to sharing it with our friends as we come together to strengthen the work my Foundation is doing around the world. ”
After leaving the White House, President Clinton wanted to build on what has been a lifetime of public service through the Clinton Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on making an impact and delivering results on pressing issues in the United States and abroad.
“I’ve reached an age now where it doesn’t matter whatever happens to me. I just don’t want anybody to die before their time and I think that all of us have an unprecedented amount of power to solve problems, save lives, and help people see the future,” said President Clinton. “My Foundation works to further this mission everyday. We live in a small, interdependent world and our time here is too short to waste it by not working together. My Foundation works to find ways to help people work and succeed together, whether it’s bringing AIDS medicines to people in rural Africa or China; helping children in America learn to make healthier lifestyle choices; or convening world leaders to discuss some of the greatest challenges facing our world, we are working to make a lasting change in the world and in the lives of people in need.”
With the support of partners and volunteers, the Clinton Foundation is making a real and tangible difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS, global warming, childhood obesity, and other pressing challenges facing our world. All proceeds from the event will support the ongoing work of the Clinton Foundation.
