Commitment to Action

Identifying and Closing the Early Childhood Leadership Gap

Commitment by

Early Care and Education Consortium

In 2015, Early Care and Education Consortium (ECEC) and its partners committed to identifying and promoting the key leadership competencies of early care program directors and workforce leaders. ECEC, which serves 9,100 member programs and over one million children in all 50 states, will first conduct a survey of its members, then produce an implementation toolkit to provide recommendations and considerations for staffing. Ultimately, ECEC and its partners will conduct a pilot to analyze the effectiveness of identified models with certain program partners.
