Expansion of P.A.C.E.

Commitment by

Gap Inc.

In 2009, Gap Inc. committed to expand its Personal Achievement and Career Enhancement (P.A.C.E.) Program and implement it in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh over four years. Piloted in India, the P.A.C.E program focuses on building the life skills of female garment workers and enhancing their career opportunities through the provision of technical skills training. Using this proven transformational program, Gap Inc. ultimately aims for the workers and management of garment factories to view the welfare, potential, and success of female line workers as key to their business success. Additionally, in preparation for the implementation of the P.A.C.E. program beyond 2012, Gap Inc. will make initial investments in Indonesia and China.
