Commitment to Action

Oando Adopt-A-School Initiative

Commitment by

Oando PLC Group

In 2012, the Oando Foundation committed to improving access to quality education in Nigeria by expanding its Adopt-a-School Initiative from 28 schools to 100 schools over a period of three years. The Oando Foundation will provide educational resources, such as teaching aids, and create ICT centers in each of its adopted schools. Through this commitment, the Oando Foundation will also award scholarships to over 2,500 pupils to reduce the direct and indirect costs of education for students with great need. Recognizing the importance of institutionalizing and empowering local non-governmental and community-based organizations, the Oando Foundation will also work with these actors to ensure the success of this endeavor.
