Sports Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) provides after school and summer camp services for 40,000 children in the elementary and middle schools of the New York City public school system. The current operating budget is $17,000,000 annually and private funding for this effort comprises 9 percent of the total budget. Francis Greenburgers fundraising efforts will be used in conjunction with funding by the NYC Board of Education and other government agencies to support its oeprations. Mr. Greenburger will begin the commitment to action efforts by adopting the first school by donating $25,000 per year for the next two years.
