Doris Dunn is responsible for managing corporate social responsibility for Farmers Insurance, which includes building relationships with nonprofit organizations across the country, managing volunteer opportunities for employees and agents, improving community relationships inside and outside the organization, and directing the Farmers Insurance strategy for corporate giving. This strategy focuses on three key areas—education, disaster resilience, and civic—creating synergy between business and corporate giving. Key partnerships include United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs, The First Tee, Adopt-a-Classroom, American Red Cross, St. Bernard Project, Habitat for Humanity, and many others. Dunn started with Farmers in 1987 as an agent near Detroit, Michigan. In 1990, she became a commercial marketing representative in Columbus, Ohio, then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to assist a local marketing office with training agents and event planning. Dunn moved to California in 2001 where she has held a variety of positions in the product management, sales, and commercial divisions. She was promoted to director of community relations in 2007.
