Share

This week, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) will hold the CGI Middle East & Africa Meeting in Marrakech, Morocco from May 5-7. Hosted by President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, the meeting will convene regional and global leaders from civil society, business, and government, to mobilize Commitments to Action toward timely issues in both regions. CGI invites the global audience to participate online through social media and the event webcast, which is available in English, French, and Arabic.

With valuable natural resources and some of the fastest growing economies in the world, countries in the Middle East and Africa have made tremendous progress in improving human development. The meeting will highlight the opportunity and challenges of both regions and aim to generate lasting solutions to pressing challenges. Meeting topics include a range of issues such as education, public health systems, youth employment, infrastructure, and natural resource management. Attendees will network, build partnerships, and share best practices to generate lasting solutions through the CGI Commitment to Action model.
