Health promotion and strategic educational and programmatic planning empowers colleges and universities to position students to reach their full academic and personal potential.
Sexual assault, suicide, and substance use/misuse are a few of the on-campus health challenges that have captured national attention in recent years. CHMI's College Health program is an impactful way to create and implement a strategic plan for promoting physical health, sexual health, behavioral health, and nutrition on college campuses. The program is implemented along with the expertise of CHMI’s partners in each of these four subject areas and is enabled by CHMI’s model for change that includes collaborative planning and inter-organizational learning. CHMI is working with cohorts of colleges in its Community Health Transformation sites and elevating their efforts through shared learning platforms, focused workshops, and connection to local and national resources.
