Six things you should know about CGI commitment-makers in the news this week – including Elevate Prize winners; helping recycle unused football championship gear; and launching a mental health center in Ukraine.

2024 Elevate Prize Winners Include CGI Health Equity and Climate Action Commitment-Makers

This week, the Elevate Prize announced the ten 2024 winners – which included three CGI commitment-makers:

  • Gayatri Datar of EarthEnable, developing natural building materials to create healthy and sustainable homes in rural Africa;
  • Sam Bencheghib of Sungai Watch, innovating ways to stop the flow of plastic pollution in Indonesian rivers and mobilizing a community for change; and
  • Isabelle Kamariza of Solid’Africa, supporting vulnerable patients in public hospitals in Rwanda to preserve dignity, accelerate recovery and promote health equity.
