Sunday Paper spotlights CGI commitment-maker Sunflower Network’s work in Ukraine

Sunday Paper spoke with Sunflower Network founder, Dustin J Ross, about the origins of the Network and its work in Ukraine. At CGI 2023, Sunflower Network committed to building a hospital in Brody, Ukraine, launching the first public-private-partnership to build healthcare infrastructure in Ukraine since the start of the war.  Read more. 

Dr. Chelsea Clinton urges action on Black maternal health in New York City 

Harlem World Magazine reported on this week’s convening by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Fund for Public Health. Dr. Chelsea Clinton spoke about the urgency of the Black maternal health crisis. The event builds upon the department’s 2022 Commitment to launch its Birth Equity Initiative, aiming to expand resources for Black pregnant persons and women in Brooklyn. Read more.

CGI commitment-maker Beyond 100K outlines predictions for the future of education in new report

Beyond100K this week released a new report examining trends shaping the future of education and offering field-leading insights and solutions. At CGI 2022, Beyond100K committed to preparing and retaining 150,000 STEM teachers, especially for schools serving majority Black, Latinx, and Native American students. Read more.

This International Women’s Day, Him for Her COO and co-founder, Ann Shepherd, spoke with HoneyBook about navigating leadership as a woman and Him for Her’s mission to increase gender diversity on corporate boards. Last year at CGI, Him for Her committed to addressing corporate board diversity by seating 11,000 women board members for U.S. based companies within 10 years. Read more.
