Programs to include Georgetown University-hosted series on the ’92 campaign; celebration in Little Rock with President Clinton and Secretary Clinton; and special appearance by President Clinton on CONAN
(November 2017) – This month marks the 25th anniversary of the election of Bill Clinton and Al Gore as the 42nd President and 45th Vice President of the United States.
Twenty-five years ago, Bill Clinton was elected 42nd President of the United States. From the time he announced his candidacy at the Old State House in Little Rock on October 3, 1991, to the moment he stood as President-Elect on its steps on November 3, 1992, then-Governor Clinton traveled America sharing a vision that was built on simple ideas: everybody deserves an opportunity, everybody has a responsibility to one another, and we are all part of one great American community. In recognition of the milestone, the following events and appearances will take place.
Monday, November 6
Hosted by the Institute of Politics and Public Service at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy (GU Politics), Clinton 25: Georgetown Reflects On The Vision Of Bill Clinton will bring together former campaign and administration officials, and other guests to look back on President Clinton’s journey from Georgetown to the White House, his time as president, and his vision for the country and the world.
The events will take place on Georgetown’s main campus from November 3-6, 2017. Over the course of four days, GU Politics and its campus partners will host panel discussions, movie screenings, original videos, and exhibitions on the 42nd President of the United States.
