FACT: THE CLINTON FOUNDATION SPENDS OVER 78 PERCENT OF EXPENSES ON CHARITY.

One of the biggest false attacks on the Clinton Foundation is that it "doesn't spend enough money on charity" – that "only 5, 10, or 20 percent" of our money goes to charity. The fact is — over 78 percent of the Clinton Foundation’s spending goes to charitable programs.

The Clinton Foundation is an operating foundation, which means our programs and staff are working to implement charitable efforts ourselves. We are not a grant-making organization. In July 2025, Charity Watch once again recognized the Clinton Foundation as one of their Top-Rated Charities. We're proud to be among the most trusted organizations in philanthropy — and will continue our work developing leaders and advancing solutions.
