CGI commitment-maker Pacific Community Ventures announces acquisition of Radiant Data

Pacific Community Ventures (PCV), a non-profit community investor in small businesses, has just announced its first acquisition as part of its 2030 strategic plan. PCV will acquire Radiant Data, a human-centered AI and tech startup. As a result of this merger, PCV aims to utilize its new AI capabilities to ensure new technology helps a broad range of businesses, rather than concentrating its benefits among a select few. CGI commitment-maker Roadtrip Nation announces partnership with Mentor Collective

Roadtrip Nation, which produces inspiring videos, podcasts, and educational content for career development, launched a partnership with Mentorship Collective, a platform that connects students and mentors. Through this partnership, Roadtrip Nation’s content will be shared across the Mentorship Collective platform, reaching millions more students and providing critical support for people looking for work and trying to move forward in their careers. Too Small to Fail Celebrates Innovative New Partnership in Pennsylvania

Too Small to Fail, the early learning initiative of the Clinton Foundation, the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, United Way of PA and United Way of Bucks County are partnering with local grocery outlet stores in Jamison and Warminster, PA, to add posters and aisle signs in stores to encourage caregivers to talk about colors, shapes, letters, and numbers while they shop. This partnership is a part of Too Small’s 2024 Commitment to Action to provide parents and caregivers with tools and information to support young children’s literacy, done in part through transforming everyday moments into opportunities for brain development. LACI receives a grant to grow its Cleantech Debt Fund 

The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) has received a $2 million grant from the Schmidt Family Foundation to grow its Cleantech Debt Fund, which provides critical financing to early-stage startups often deemed uncreditworthy due to limited assets and cash flow. The fund also addresses systemic barriers faced by underrepresented Black, brown, and women entrepreneurs, aiming to boost their access to capital and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis. Americares announces new climate resilience initiative as a part of its Commitment to Action

Americares is a nonprofit that helps communities around the world access medical essentials through its disaster outreach and community health development programs. As part of their CGI 2022 Commitment to Action, they have launched a Climate Resilience Toolkit in collaboration with the Philippines Department of Health to reduce the health impacts from climate disasters. This new toolkit is an informational resource, providing vital, culturally relevant guidance for frontline health workers across the Philippines. The Defensive Line co-founder wins Leadership Excellence award

At D CEO’s Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards, Martha Thomas – co-founder of The Defensive Line – won the Leadership Excellence award for midsize organizations, due to her work spearheading strategic partnerships with major organizations and leading national campaigns. The Defensive Line was launched in 2021 by Martha and Chris Thomas, and their son, NFL player Solomon Thomas, following the loss of their daughter and sister, Ella, to suicide in 2018. The nonprofit raises awareness about mental health and suicide prevention through educational programs, workshops, community events, and collaborations with local schools and mental health professionals. CGI announces “a different kind of meeting” for the 2025 annual convening 

President Bill Clinton issued a Call to Action to the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) community to come together at a re-imagined Annual Meeting this September. CGI 2025 will have a sharper focus on CGI Working Groups – facilitated, action-focused sessions where leaders will collaborate with mission-aligned organizations to drive solutions.
