“Rocco Celebrates America’s 250th Birthday at the White House!” with Rocco and Arioth Smirne

Join us Tuesday, February 17, at 6 p.m., when the Clinton Presidential Center Presents “Rocco Celebrates America’s 250th Birthday at the White House!” We’ll continue our Presidents Day celebration with an engaging conversation with 10-year-old author Rocco Smirne and his mother, Arioth Smirne. They’ll share stories from Rocco’s brand-new children’s book that explores 250 years of American history through the halls and collections of the White House.

Rocco Smirne is a 10-year-old elementary school student. His favorite subject is geography! Rocco loves traveling with his family, NASCAR, WWE, playing various sports, and video games! Rocco has enjoyed working with the publications team at the White House Historical Association. With their support, he has authored five books helping children to learn fun facts about the White House! He has enjoyed several trips to the White House for holiday and garden tours, Halloween, and Easter events!

Arioth Smirne has led the events department at the White House Historical Association for 20 years. Continually recognized as a top event venue in the DC Metro area, Arioth has had the opportunity and pleasure to work with high-level corporate and government clients and help couples plan intimate gatherings at historic Decatur House. Outside the office, Arioth enjoys photography, entertaining family and friends, but mostly she enjoys spending time with her husband and sons. Whether taking in a sporting event, attending local festivals and parades, or exploring the DMV and beyond, they are a family on the go.
