Press Release: Center Welcomes 100,000th Visitor

The William J. Clinton Presidential Center reached a milestone today as the 100,000th visitor passed through the doors of the complex. Karen Gosby, an elementary school principal from Dallas, Texas entered the main building at 1:52 p.m. CST, becoming the 100,000th visitor since the Center opened in November 2004.

Ms. Gosby was greeted by Presidential Foundation President Skip Rutherford, who presented her with a night's stay in the Presidential Suite of the Peabody Hotel, Little Rock; a night's stay in the Presidential Suite at the Holiday Inn Presidential Center; a gift certificate for Sunday brunch at Cafe 42; and a gift basket from the Clinton Museum Store.

“After only six weeks of operation we are far ahead of our visitor projections, and we’re not even close to the peak tourism season,” said Skip Rutherford, President of the William J. Clinton Foundation. “We estimate that about 50%-60% of our adult visitors are from out of state, which is very exciting. We hope that people from around the country and world will come visit.”

Visitors coming to Little Rock should contact www.arkansasglobecoming.com for travel and lodging information.
